The ASPC/AMHR Club Of North Texas was formed in 1994 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, for our members to enjoy and promote their Shetland Ponies and Miniature Horses.
We have helped develop the show circuit for the State of Texas by establishing three yearly sanctioned shows. In April the "Daffodil Dandy", in June the "June Jubilee" or the "Area V National Show" and in October the "Halloween Spooktacular". Our shows are held in Glen Rose, TX at the Somerville County Expo Center.
Our Club has hosted the Area V ASPC/AMHR National Show and the 2000 ASPC/AMHR National Convention held in Dallas, along with hosting a number of seminars and play days.
We strive to promote a happy, family friendly environment for people to enjoy their Shetland Ponies and Miniature Horses. We stress camaraderie and willingness to aid newcomers in learning to enjoy our wonderful breeds of small equine.
We developed the Area V High Point Youth/Horse/Pony Program and we include a variety of youth classes in every show and strive to develop good sportsmanship in our youth.
We also offer many amateur classes in our shows and are approved for the ASPC/AMHR/ASPR Triple A Amateur Advantage Program. You must be a hold a current amateur card to participate in any of the amateur classes.
